Like in any business, who you know is as (if not more) important as what you know, when it comes to the music industry.
Recently I was fortunate enough to meet with Scott Honsberger, the Executive Director of Music Ontario.
For those that don’t know about Music Ontario, they are a division of the Canadian Independent Music Association (CIMA) and are planning to be the hub of Ontario’s vibrant music community, the largest in all of Canada.
One of the main initiatives that they are currently getting off the ground is “Sound Off! Ontario” which is aimed at helping artists and industry professionals throughout the province with everything from understanding and developing marketing strategies, to connecting those who share the same goals and geography with each other.
Their first step in this process is a “call to arms” of those interested. Music Ontario is planning a series of public events in the following cities :
• St. Catharines
